Q: What is Spark Box Toys?

A: Spark Box Toys is a subscription service that brings personalized learning toys to children. With a simple monthly membership, parents will receive high-quality learning toys selected by experts and tailored to a child's developmental needs. When you are done with the toys, you simply send them back for more!

Q: Why Spark Box is ideal for my child's learning and development?

A: Our educational philosophy start and end with the child. We have broken down the developmental skill sets appropriate for every age (0-4) and translated them to toys so every Spark Box can be tailored to each child's age, learning type, skill sets and (coming soon) personal preferences. We aim to foster a well-rounded education curriculum by infusing each Spark Box across diverse skills, varying engagement levels and activity categories. Our skills are broken into Motor, Social/Emotional, Linguistic and Cognitive categories. Our learning types include: Audial, Visual and Kinesthetic. Each box builds on the skills that were exercised in the previous Spark Boxes. The more feedback you give us, the more we can personalize your child's learning curriculum.

Q: What is different about your toys?

A: High quality, award winning toys aren't always found on the shelves of a big box stores, in fact, they rarely are. After scouring over 4,000 toys from specialty toy makers and boutique brands from all over the world, we have put together a toy collection that is as unique as our concept.

  • Out of the 29 brands we work with, only 8 can be found at Toys R Us
  • Out of the 225 toys we have selected, our toys have collectively won 157 global toy awards
  • Our team has put together over 750 proprietary ?play time ideas? to pair with our toys that help parents optimize the learning & play value of these toys
Best part is, not only does every Spark Box customer get to enjoy these wonderful toys, every toy will be completely refurbished before they are all donated to our urban public school systems

Q: Is Spark Box Green?

A: Yes, Spark Box is very eco-conscious. We choose eco-friendly vendors, use renewable packaging and recycle all our packaging, and use environmentally friendly sanitization products. A: Every Spark Box we ship is designed to nurture and promote the healthy Physical, Emotional, Cognitive and Linguistic development of your child. There you will find our comprehensive Development Chart, Skills Matrix, Learning Types and even track your little one's development and see how they advance with very Spark Box

Q: How many toys are in each Spark Box?

A: You will find 4 toys (or more) in every Spark Box that feature the following learning categories: Physical, Emotion, Cognitive & Linguistic. However, sometimes we will throw in an extra toy or two if we feel that it will enhance your child's learning that month....so don't be surprised if you receive extra items in your Spark Box!

Q: How do you keep your toys safe & clean?

A: When it comes to the safety and cleanliness of our products, we take it very seriously! Every toy that passes through our doors are rigorously examined, cleaned and sanitized by our operations team so we can be completely sure what we are sending out is safe & clean. We have consulted with teachers, principals and doctors to develop a cleaning process that far surpasses EPA and school standards. All our toys go through this 5-step cleaning process that includes surface cleaning, sterilization, disinfecting, inspection and vacuum sealing.

Q: What are the Plans and Prices?

Q: How many toys are in each Spark Box?

Q: What are the Plans and Prices?

A: Spark Box is one simple monthly membership for a box of 4 (and sometimes more) expertly selected toys just right for your child. We have 3 plans:

  1. A Spark Box every 4 weeks for $35.95 per month
  2. A Spark Box every 6 weeks for $28.95 per month (Annual cost $299)
  3. A Spark Box every 8 weeks for $23.95 per month (Annual cost $249)

2 month commitment, then cancel anytime. Shipping is always free.

To give Spark Box as a gift

  1. 6 month subscription for $135
  2. 12 month subscription for $249

Q: What if I try Spark Box and don’t want to become a member:

A: That’s why we offer a 14-Day risk free trial so you can try us out Risk Free! Just return your Spark Box back to us with the included return shipping label within the first 14-days of signing up, and we will refund your money fully, minus $10 to cover part of the shipping costs.

Q: Spark Box Gift Redemptions

A: If you choose to give Spark Box Toys as a gift, a 6 month subscription is $135 and a 12 month subscription is $249. Gift subscriptions are delivered electronically and can be redeemed at any time.

Q: Are there any late fees?

A: Absolutely no late fees, return your Spark Box whenever your child is done with them.

Q: Can I cancel my membership at any time?

A: Membership commitment is only 2 months. After the first 2 months, you can cancel at any time. Contact us at 973-643-0269 or at service@sparkboxtoys.com to change or cancel your membership.

Shipping

Q: Who pays for the shipments?

A: We do.

Q: How do I return the Spark Box?

A: Spark Box uses UPS. When you are ready to return your box, simply apply the provided return shipping label to your Spark Box and drop it off at your nearest UPS drop off or give it to a UPS driver.

Q: What do I do if I lose my return label?

A: Email us. We will get you a new one right away.

Q: Will I know what Spark Toys will be coming in the next shipment?

A: Yes, we populate your dashboard with your upcoming toys. Check it anytime

Spark Box at Home

Q: Will I know what toys will be coming in the next shipment?

A: Yes, as soon we ship your Spark Box, you can view the items that will be coming in the next Spark Box. Simply log in and go to your 'Dashboard'. There you will see the toys that are in your queue for the next shipment.

Q: Can I edit the contents of my child's Spark Box?

A: Of course you always have the final say! While we have hand selected your child's toys, and think they are ideal for your child based on the information we have, you can always edit the contents of your child's Spark Box. Simply log in and go to your 'Dashboard' at least a week prior to your next shipment, there you can remove any item from your Queue and replace it with another one of our other high quality toys. You can chose from other expert recommendations, toys you have added to your Wishlist in the past.

Q: How important is the feedback of each Spark Toy?

A: We want to design the best Spark Box for your child. The more you tell us about what worked for them, the better we can optimize our future toy picks for your child.

Q: What happens if my child loves one of the toys in our Spark Box and we want to buy it?

A: If you have a toy at home that your child really loves and wants to keep, you can keep the box a little while longer in case they outgrow the toy (remember we don't have any late fees). If you still want to keep it, go to Report a Problem, or just email us at service@sparkboxtoys.com or call us 973-643-0269 and we'd be happy to sell you the toy at a substantial discount to its retail price.

Q: What do I do if I receive a broken toy?

A: All our products go through a rigorous testing process, but unfortunately sometimes things happen during shipping and we understand that. If you receive anything that's broken, please let us know within 3 days of receiving your Spark Box. Spark Box will send you a new toy right away or include it in your next Spark Box shipment, whichever you prefer! To report a broken toy go to Report a Problem.

Q: What happens if my child breaks a toy?

A: At Spark Box we work hard to select high quality toys that have been tested and last. But if for some reason your little one breaks a toy, we will only charge you for the toy at a substantial discount to its retail price. To report a broken toy go to Report a Problem.

Q: What happens if I lose pieces to a toy?

A: If you lose any pieces to a toy and find it by the next shipment, just let us know and put it in your next box. If you don't find it by the next month's Spark Box shipment, we will charge you a small missing pieces fee. Missing piece fee range from $3 to $5 and can be reported in to Report a Problem section.
